Military Spouse Career Advancement Initiative

from December 2007 newsletter

Beginning in January 2008, military spouses may find assistance in obtaining the education and training they need to enter the workforce. The DoD and DOL are teaming up to help military spouses with a grant of $3,000 (renewable once) to pay for tuition, books and other educational expenses. This program is aimed at spouses of E1-E5 and O1-O3 servicemembers.

The program will initially be available at 18 military installations including Ft Lewis, Ft Carson, Ft Bragg, Ft Benning and Schofield Barracks. If you are interested in learning more, visit the One Stop Career Center located on each of the participating military installations.
