Where was he stationed for AIT?
Redstone Arsenal, Alabama
 
How long was his AIT?
8 weeks
 
What was his training like? Normal schedule? Did he train on weekends? Late at night? Classroom or field based?
He's very athletic so he told me it was easy. The schedule was normal; no late nights and they didn't train on weekends. It was classroom and field based.
 
Did you get to see him during AIT?
No. not until Graduation
 
How often were you able to communicate with him? By phone? Email?
Whenever he wasn't in class. He called me on his phone. for the first 2weeks he wasn't allowed to have it. then when you phase up you get your civilian electronics back.
 
Describe the graduation ceremony.
It was really nice lasted no more than 45 minutes. it was a mixed ceremony they graduated with marines.
 
Any other tips or information?
The best thing to do is ALWAYS be there for him when he needs to talk...some days will be good and some not so good...just hearing from you could make a difference in how he feels.
