Where was he stationed for AIT?
Fort Leonard Wood, MO
How long was his AIT?
29 weeks, he had OSUT.
What was his training like?
Normal schedule? Did he train on weekends? Late at
night? Classroom or field based?
The first 10 weeks were combat
training, the next 6 weeks were classroom then the
next 3weeks were kinda of a blow off. He had his FTX
and they actually just turned in all their gear
today. and received new ACU's
Did you get to see him during
AIT?
I got to see him at 8 weeks in
to BCT/OSUT it was the 4th of July. Then almost
every Sunday after that I got to see him.
How often were you able to
communicate with him? By phone? Email?
mostly letters but my soldier
and his "buddies" snuck in a cell phone so
I got a
call every night from him for 10 weeks!
Describe the graduation
ceremony.
have not been yet...will come
in exactly 7days .
Any other tips or information?
It will got by fast UNTIL the
very last week! Write him everyday they love to get
letters and always remind them that they are loved.
They get really horrible stuff put in their heads
while they are there so they need love!
