What is housing like? On-post? (waiting list, conditions, etc.) Off-post? Any areas to stay away from? Average price to rent or buy? 

There is a long list for on-post housing, at least a year right now. There are several apartment complexes off-post, but make sure you contact them fast cause there aren't many empty places. The rent is anywhere from $300-600 depending on where you are and how many rooms you need. It also makes a difference how long you have the lease signed for.

Rate the PX & Commissary. 

The Commissary is a little more expensive than the last place we were and doesn't have as much variety in products. The PX is small and kinda lacks in product variation.

Activities on base?

Not sure just got here, but will let you know soon.

Active Spouses Club? 

There is an active FRG here, for us it is ran by the Sgt.'s wife. She just started it, but she's doing a good job so far.

Things to do in area? 

You can explore the mountains and there are a couple of historical sites.

School System?

I have no idea

Any colleges in area? 

There is Cochise Community College and a branch of the University of Phoenix.

Jobs? (on post and off) 

Not sure about on base, but the mall is hiring in almost every store. There's a Wal-Mart and a couple little places also.

Favorite aspect of this base/surrounding city? 

Walk out the front door and all you see are mountains.

Least favorite aspect? 

It's a small town.

Local websites? (base, chamber, newspaper, schools, etc.) 

Looking into this.

Any other tips? Drink lots of fluids and don't stay out in the sun for long periods of time without sunblock.
